History

Kudzu Health & Safety has come a long way since we started in 2002; we have grown from a limited service provider to a full-scale health and safety company. While our services and offerings may have grown, our values have remained the same since the beginning.

KHS is named after the Kudzu plant, which offers many medicinal purposes and is incredibly resilient. Once the Kudzu vine takes root, it grows uncontrollably and is impossible to get rid of. That’s how we think about the learning experience at Kudzu; if properly taught, the safety attitude will take root and grow throughout the organization, and will be there to stay!

Manny

In Kudzu’s CPR classes, students learn using blue-vested mannequins. For the most effective training, the students need to perform CPR for approximately two continuous minutes for retention.

Since KHS students save lives, we have created Manny Quinn as the superhero persona of these training aids. Manny is featured in the training sessions, and has been our social media spokesman since the summer of 2010.
